You can see from the image though, that the license I have installed is the volume license one. It is now set to device, there are no errors at all on the licensing diagnoser and it is showing that the licensing server is available. The builtin-overused per use CAL is OK, this was added before I switched the licensing mode from user to device. I changed all the settings to use the new server for licensing etc, but I am getting the following in the licensing manager: So I have installed the licensing manager on one of the 2016 session host servers and it all seems to work fine.kind of. The issue was that you could not install 2016 device cals onto server 2012. The gateway server also has the licensing manager on it.
We were also upgrading our 2012 session servers to 2016, but leaving the gateway server on server 2012. I posted a question recently because we have moved from RDS user based CALs to RDS Device CALs.
